Mike Tyson was left flabbergasted at footage of Deontay Wilder beating up a bully at a gym in LA after derogatory comments posted online.

Wilder is now renowned as one of the biggest stars in boxing thanks to his sequel of fights with Tyson Fury in 2018 and 2020 - with the trilogy set for October 9.

However, before making it into the mainstream of the boxing world, Wilder was just a slender heavyweight from Alabama knocking out opponents with consummate ease and little acclaim.

Famously, in May 2014, Wilder travelled to LA to confront internet troll Charlie Zelenoff, who had directed vile abuse at him.

Fresh off a win over Malik Scott to go 31-0, the American accepted and headed over to deal with the situation.

Wilder arrived at the gym and had Zelenoff sign a legal waiver assuring that he wouldn’t sue for any damages, before then battering him around the gym.

Speaking on his Hotboxin podcast, Tyson watched the footage alongside former world heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz Jr and former UFC champion Henry Cejudo and was amazed at what he saw.

“I saw Deontay Wilder f*** some YouTuber up,” Tyson said. “He came to the gym and was talking about Deontay Wilder’s kids and stuff.

“Wilder went here and beat his f****** a** up! He can really do that without getting arrested? I would have been arrested!

“I’d been in prison man, for this s***!”

Fury and Wilder meet again on October 9 and 'Iron Mike' thinks 'The Gypsy King' has Wilder's number.

Speaking later on the podcast, he gave his prediction: "No way, you know, Deontay Wilder have nothing to be sad about… I just think Tyson Fury has his number."

talkSPORT will have live and exclusive radio commentary of Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder 3 from Las Vegas on October 9.
