Chase Daniel is an American professional football player who likes most others in the sport started playing competitively from high school. He joined the National Football League (NFL) as an unrecruited free agent but has since signed on to sign and play for some of the league’s top clubs. Here, you’ll learn more about him, his wife, and what makes him a threat to other teams on the opposing side, based on his physical stats and how well he uses the field.

His beginnings and his career as a footballer

Chase was named William Chase Daniel when he was born on October 7, 1986, as the son of Bill and Vickie Daniel in Texas.

Growing up, he attended Carroll High School in Southlake, Texas, where he began playing football under former American footballer and now coach Todd Dodge. Their team finished second in the 5A Division II competition in 2003 but won the title in 2002 and repeated the same feat in 2004.

At the end of his high school year, he had a scholarship offer seeking consent from Maryland University, Oklahoma State University, Stanford University, and Texas A&M University. Nonetheless, Chase Daniel remained true to his verbal commitment to the University of Missouri, which began playing with them from the 2005 season until 2008.

He would then start his rookie season as a backup quarterback for Brad Smith, but by his second year, Texas was already in the lineup. His impressive play continued as he broke and set numerous team records and even appeared on the cover of an issue of ESPN magazine with one of his teammates, Chase Patton. Daniel left college as the Missouri career total leader after helping his varsity team finish its senior season with 10 wins and a respectable No. 19 ranking in AP polls.

Despite his impressive college stats, awards, and honors, Chase Daniel left the 2009 NFL Draft without a team pick. That’s because some scouts have expressed doubts about whether his prevalent offensive style of play in college could fit in with the different setup of the game in the NFL. However, he would be signed by the Washington Redskins as a free agent, which did not deem him good enough for his final roster to be reduced in September 2009.

Nonetheless, where the sights of NFL and Redskins scouts dimmed seeing the kid’s potential, the New Orleans Saints saw beyond it when he was signed a day after the Redskins l have disembarked.

Chase struggled to fit into his new team as he was waived, cut, resigned and tossed around before finding playing time on the team that won Super Bowl XLIV. He stayed with them until the 2012 season before leaving in search of a reinvigoration from his rather slow career with the Kansas City Chiefs.

With the Chiefs, ‘The Lone Star State’ footballer returned to form after finding enough playing time from 2013 to the end of the 2015 season when he left them.

He would then play for the Philadelphia Eagles from 2016 to 2017 returned to the New Orleans Saints in early 2017 before joining the Chicago Bears in 2018 on a two-year, $10 million deal with a guarantee of 7 million dollars.

Salary

According to online sources, Chase Daniel, who signed a two-year contract with the Chicago Bears, has an estimated base salary of $2 million.
